Quality of life Any volunteers who want to go live in Norway? Like I guessed none, but according to the United Nations Human Development Report, Norway came out tops when measured against other countries.

South Africa came in just ahead of Mongolia...WTF? Would you trade the Mongolian Steppes for the beaches in Cape Town and the vibrant(dangerous) nightlife in Joburg?

The message though is that this government has to stop beating around the bush and do something about Aids...stop the birching and just stop this disease whatever it takes.

Whining..

Tonight I'm feeling really hopeless, well almost. I bumped into an old high school acquaintance- can't call him a friend coz we were never cool like that.

Eight yerars ago he was all cool, today the motherfucker has turned into a money loving self-centred bitch. For the 15 minutes that we talked he went on about how good married life had treated him, that he had a good job, that he had a kid- with one on the way, that he had lots of money to spare, that he was planning to emigrate, that he had a big house....WTF? I mean what am I suppose to say to the guy...I tried being diplomatic and listening to this fool but the more I did the more I had the urge to punch the motherfucker out...bitch had been domesticated by married life.

I almost choked on my own spit when he told me that he had his honeymoon in Beverly Hills- WTF?

I'm not hating but talking about those things to someone that you haven't seen for eight years is fukked up...when I left him I didn't even bother exchanging business cards, an asshole like that I'm hoping not to meet soon.

IBS

Yesterday felt like that character in the Ladykillers with irritable bowel syndrome...shit was bad. Take note, if you're intending to visit Cape Town, the public toilets in this city are the shitiest- I'm dead serious.

Everywhere I went looking to relieve myself I had to turn around at the door for fear of catching some unmentionable disease that lingers where even the devil would fear to treadf.

3G!!

Spent the whole day- almost- at Vodacom where they were showing off their 3G service which they're planning to launch by Christmas.

Opinions? I was blown away by the simplicity of how the technology worked. We did some internet surfing, made a video call, and watched CNN via streaming video...which was nice seeing that I'm a fan of the channel.

The speeds at which the 3g devices connect to the network is way- 384kbps- which beats the current WiFi offering hands down.

Ok, let me get back to work:-0

Early morning, smells like...

food in this office. Discovered this morning- while looking in the mirror- that my skin was starting to get up to its old adolescent tricks again. Yes, I did, discovered no fewer than two pimples...that could've meant impending disaster four years ago but in 2004, I'm chill about it. Must be my diet, since I started living by myself I'm missing my mom's cooked meals- even if their frequency were irregular.

Went to an interesting poetry reading on Saturday- yes, I'm cultured. The evening went okay until the last poet stepped on stage and starting bitching about his life- yes, he's a fag.

That got me to the question, why are gay men constantly bitching about everything?

I'll ask a gay man the next time I happend to bump into one.

Peace out.
